Tuesday Tool Series #11: TOG Bot in Discord
Tuesday tool series, article 11 of 19. The tool: TOG Bot in Discord at theoddsgap.com/discord-bot
Tuesday Tool Article #11. TOG Bot in Discord. Every answer below was asked in The Odds Gap's own Discord server on Monday, October 26, 2026, between 9:55 and 10:13 AM ET, with Cowboys at Eagles on Monday Night Football that night. The prices are the ones the bot showed at those times.
Your Discord is where the betting happens. Someone posts a play, five people tail it, and every one of them bets it at whatever app they happen to have open.
Nobody checks the price, because checking means leaving the chat, opening four apps, and comparing numbers by hand. By the time you have done it, the conversation has moved on.
The price is the one part of a bet you control, and the chat is the worst place to shop it.
What the tool does
The Odds Gap's Discord bot brings the whole board into the server. It is called TOG Bot, and you can now talk to it.
Type @TOG Bot in any channel it can see, ask a question in plain English, and it answers right there in the channel: the best price across every major sportsbook and the prediction markets, hedge math on a ticket you already hold, a game's full board, a team's record against the spread, a streak, a past result. Reply to its answer and it keeps the game in mind for the follow-up.
It is the same engine as /odds ask, and the same answers that power the TOG Bot box on theoddsgap.com. If a page on The Odds Gap has it, the bot can answer it. Every priced answer says when its prices were scanned and links to the page it came from.
The classic commands are all still there: /odds best, /odds game, /odds prop, /odds future, /odds parlay, /odds hedge, /odds ev and /odds middles. Server owners run everything from /oddsadmin.
A real example
Monday morning, 9:55 AM ET. We asked: @TOG Bot best price on the Cowboys moneyline tonight.
- Novig: -203, with about $6,914.71 available at that price
- DraftKings: -205
- Caesars: -218
- BetMGM, Fanatics, FanDuel and Hard Rock Bet: -220
Then we replied to its answer with four words: what about the spread? No team, no game, no command. It knew.
Cowboys -4.5, best to worst:
- Novig: +104
- Fanatics: -105
- Kalshi: -107
- BetMGM and DraftKings: -108
Eagles +4.5, best to worst:
- theScore Bet: -105
- Novig: -106
- FanDuel: -108
- Caesars: -109
Same bet, $11.41 apart. $100 on Cowboys -4.5 at +104 profits $104.00. The same $100 at -108 profits $92.59. That is the difference between asking in the chat and betting at the first app you open.
Prices move while you talk. At 9:55, FanDuel had the Cowboys at -220. Sixteen minutes later, /odds best showed FanDuel at -205. Every answer carries its scan time for exactly this reason.
It does the hedge math, and it tells you what it cannot confirm. We asked: I have $50 on the Eagles at +200, how much do I hedge? No book had the Eagles at +200 at that moment, and the bot said so before doing anything else: it took +200 as the price we already hold, not a price it could see. Then the math. $50 at +200 returns $150.00. Hedge $100.50 on the Cowboys at -203, the best price on the board, and you get $150.00 back either way, a $0.50 loss on $150.50 staked. That small a loss is the honest answer: there was not much left to lock in.
It answers from every page on the site, not just prices. We asked: who has the longest winning streak in the NFL? The Minnesota Vikings at six straight, through games of October 25, with the Broncos and Steelers tied behind them at three. That comes straight from the Team Trends page, with a link to it.
How to use it
Add the bot. Go to theoddsgap.com/discord-bot, tap the gold button, pick your server and authorize. You need the Manage Server permission. It asks for four permissions: View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links and Read Message History.
@ it. Type @TOG Bot and your question in any channel it can see. It answers in the channel, so the whole server sees the price.
Reply to follow up. Reply to its answer and ask the next thing. It keeps the game, the league or the bet from your last question. Tap More under an answer for follow-ups and the Wrong? button, which only you can see.
Or use a command. Type /odds and pick one. /odds best gives a top five ladder for one exact bet, sized to drop right under a pick post.
Owners: open /oddsadmin. It is a private panel only server managers can open. Turn commands on or off, hide books your members cannot use, switch @ answers off in any channel, set your state so answers only name books legal there, and set up automatic +EV alerts to a channel with your own minimum edge and hourly cap.
The method
The bot reads your question, works out what you are asking for, and pulls the answer from the same data that runs theoddsgap.com: the same prices, the same pages, the same calculators. It never makes up a number the site does not carry. Before it tells you the site does not have something, it checks the site's own map of every page.
Prices are the latest scan, with the time on every answer. Exchange prices include their fees and show how much is available at that price, because a price you can only bet $5 into is not much of a price. The best price is only counted among the books your server shows, and offshore books and Pinnacle are never counted as the best price. Answers carry no sportsbook links.
The bot only reads messages that @ it or reply to one of its answers. It ignores every other message in your server and keeps none of them, and it never DMs anyone.
The methodology page covers how every price on the site is read.
What it does not do
This is the section nobody else writes, so here it is.
It does not give picks. It will tell you where the best price on the Cowboys is. It will never tell you to bet the Cowboys.
It does not know the news. Injuries, weather, a coach's press conference: if it is not on The Odds Gap, the bot does not know it.
It cannot promise a price is still there. A price can move between the scan and your tap, as FanDuel's did in sixteen minutes on Monday morning. Check the time on the answer and confirm at the book.
It is not unlimited. Each member gets 10 questions a day, and each server 100.
It does not know where you live unless your server tells it. A server owner can set a state in /oddsadmin. Otherwise, check that a book is legal for you.
The point
The chat is where your bets get made. Now the best price can be in the chat too, one @ away, with the math done and the time on it.
The bot is free to add.
