NFL Odds History for Backtesting

For backtesting, The Odds Gap's NFL files put the open, close and result in one row per game and side, and join to player logs and game conditions on one game_id. The history starts June 4, 2026. No sport has a full season yet, and the free week is September 15 to 21, 2026.

  1. Rest days, primetime, week and weather are on the row where known.
  2. Per-scan prices are there if you need the path, not only the open and close.
  3. The files hold prices and results. They make no claim about any model.

The Worked Example The Data Page

import pandas as pd
games = pd.read_csv('https://theoddsgap.com/api/game-summary.csv?league=nfl')
logs = pd.read_csv('https://theoddsgap.com/api/player-game-logs-export.csv?league=nfl')
logs.merge(games[games.market == 'total'], on='game_id').head()
